China painting in progress on the new porcelain ‘auction’ doll. This is layer 3, of the projected 10 China layers. I paint in multiple, translucent layers to build up skin tone depth, and kiln-fire each layer separately. Gradual build up of very thin, translucent China layers on translucent porcelain, creates that lovely, glowing porcelain complexion.
